"My son asked why I didn't like his dad anymore!" - Mashonda writes book on co-parenting with Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys

Swizz Beatz ex-wife, Mashonda has released a book titled Blend where, with the help of Swizz and wife Alicia Keys, she wrote about how they co-parent in peace, after years of bitteness amongst them.

“Six years ago, my [then] 5-year-old son asked me why his father and I didn’t like each other anymore. I realized that he was reacting to our lack of communication and unity as parents,” she told People Magazine. “It was a wake-up call.”

“Co-parenting and blending is a universal topic and many don’t know where to begin,” she added. “This book will serve as the inspiration and blueprint that is needed to raise emotionally and mentally healthy children.”

Alicia Keys penned the forward in the book and Swizz wrote a chapter dedicated to fathers.

The three have come a long way since Swizz and Mashonda divorced in 2010 and Mashonda alleging that Alicia Keys had an affair with her husband before their marriage ended.
