Ex-ICPC chairman, Mustapha Akanbi, dies at 85
A former Pioneer Chairman of Independent Corrupt Practice and other related offences Commission (ICPC) and former President of the Court of Appeal, Mustapha Akanbi, died in
the early hours of today June 3rd at a private hospital in Ilorin,
Born in September 1932, Mr Akanbi was called to the English Bar in 1963. He was subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar in January 1964 and joined the Ministry of Justice where he became a Senior State Counsel in 1968.state after a brief illness. He was 85 years old.
The burial of the deceased which is expected to be officiated by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Mohammed Bashir, will take place by 12pm today at his GRA residence Ilorin.
