Last month, Mr. Fayose had said Aisha was involved in the Halliburton corruption scandal, after his account was frozen by the EFCC.
He'd alleged Mrs. Buhari was the “Aisha Buhari” named in a U.S. court document, alleged to have been involved in a bribery case involving a convicted former U.S. lawmaker, Williams Jefferson.
The court summon is dated July 20.
Mr. Fayose has immunity against criminal prosecution as a Nigerian governor.
