Members of 'Kofa Must Go' a youth organization from Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency of Kano State today stormed the premises of the National Assembly in Abuja, to protest against the suspended former Chairman of House Appropriations Committee, Abdumumin Jibrin.
The embattled lawmaker was suspended for 185 days after the members of the House unanimously adopted the report by the committee on Ethics and Privileges which investigated the allegations of padding in 2016 budget leveled against Speaker Yakubu Dogara and four other house leaders.
The youths carrying placards with the inscriptions: ‘We Say No To Jibrin,’ ‘Jibrin Must Go,’ ‘He cannot Represent Us,’ and ‘We Demand For More Sanctions On Jibrin.’, call for Jibrin's prosecution.
The group maintained that his constituency has rejected him and that they have started collecting signatures to process for his recall.
