Winning Way series #2 - "And God forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us''. Matt 6:12.

Can I still forgive him? Pastor you don't know the gravity of the pains i went through all because of him.

I gave him my all, my everything yet he still walked away and married another lady not minding countless number of abortion i carried out, No, its too painful to bear.
Man of God what did you just say?! If i get you right you mean i should let go and forgive just like that after she took away the only man i have ever loved, do you know
the pains and depression i went through, i guess you don't.
And another said, i will never in this life forgive him, he killed my only son. If not for his careless driving my son would have been alive today so tell me where do i start in forgiving him.
This man is a heartless man he abandoned us and our mother now he wants us to forgive him and unite again, over our dead body we can forgive him.
At one point in time we may have been hurt so badly and bitterly that we make utterances such like the ones above.

Yes i understand your pains, the trauma and afflictions you went through because of their actions but it is time to let go and be free. Unforgiveness does a great harm to the vessel that contains it than the person it is been poured upon. One ironical aspect of unforgiveness is that you too are caged in the same chain.

Forgiveness is never easy, it is the hardest thing on earth to do no wonder the devil has used it as a tool to destroy many homes, relationship even ministries and churches.
"But if ye forgive not men their trespasses neither will your heavenly Father forgive your trespasses" matt.6:15.
It is the divine mandate of Christ that we forgive our transgressors so that when we pray, He will forgive us too and answer us. If you cannot forgive, you have no moral right to pray and seek favor from God because disobedience to his word is a sin.

You may have been abused sexually, raped, accused and humiliated, today the spirit of God is saying it's time to free that bitterness, take them to Christ at the feet of the cross where He cried in pains and said
"Father forgive them for they knew not what they do. Luke 23:34.
Forgiveness brings peace and joy, more also fulfillment in life but when you are unforgiving, you ruin your chances of happiness in life. You live in a world of sorrow and lamentation that eventually begin to dry you up and you begin to emactiate in bitterness.

To you, that young man and woman out there, it is time for you to go out in all humility, swallow that pride and ask for forgiveness to that one person you have inflicted pains upon.

You have been the reason for their tears and they have pray with your names in their mouth to a JUST GOD. don't you think is time to make peace and reconcile? Watch your life and the way things are going, are you fulfilled and comfortable?

Do you have peace?

I bet you NO. Why not seek for forgiveness and be free, make that bold step today for tomorrow might be late. It's time to be free from that which has hindered your progress in life. The worse is to die in unforgiveness or not been forgiven.

This is a clarion call to you reading this, is time for a sober reflection. Begin to clean up thy mess and make right your ways for a brighter future.

Finally, i beseech you in Gods name no matter how badly you are been hurt, abused and humiliated never pray and say to that person "it will never be well with you" for of what gain will you derive if finally you see them useless in life after you have moved on, for there is power in a spoken word borne from a grief heart. Rather commit them to God who is the perfect judge of all.

God bless you.
Evang. Tony.
