Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo is being accused of tax fraud.
Spanish prosecutors are considering whether the player should face charges over the allegations.
Spain’s tax agency are claiming that Ronaldo defrauded the authorities of €15million between 2011 and 2014.
Prosecutors said they have until the end of June to decide whether to charge the Portugal captain, based on evidence from an investigation by tax officials.
Ronaldo attempted to regularise his tax situation in Spain in 2014. by paying an extra €5.6m, but the tax office says he should have paid a further €15m.
The tax office asked prosecutors to press charges against Ronaldo for tax fraud and requested a minimum five-year jail term.
If he is found guilty by a court, Ronaldo would face a prison sentence of at least 15 months.
