More entertainment practitioners are speaking up against the ongoing slave trade in Libya. Actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Banky W, Baketmouth , Monalisa Chinda, Tonto Dikeh, Eniola Badmus have joined others to condemn the inhumanity.
"Sensitive post:- hmm... * I hate that the black skin is the symbol of oppression and suffering * I hate that in 2017 the Black Man still talks about oppression * I hate that people can still Oppress a race described by legend as the strongest Humans on Earth! *I hate to accept that Unfortunately, my race has not accepted their parts in oppressing their kind *I hate to see those pictures of how we brutalize even thieves and tie them like goats...a picture that shows our kind in a most debazing form... *I hate to see that now lighter skinned Africans think Black skin is inferior to them and can be sold into slavery *I hate to think somehow our own nations have enabled this! * I hate that our selfishness and love for Money and only our pockets have plunged us as a people continually in this ridicule and suffering *I hate that the Black skin and People are not truly Respected * I hate that the myth is wrong and maybe Black people are not so strong, intelligent or capable of taking care of themselves after all... * I hate that any people can do this to my people," Omotola Jalade said.
"Thank God for these ones that are back and more... How about their safety? Food and shelter?
Job opportunities? Enabling environment for them? How about re-orientation, basic education etc??? Done with this attitude of always playing to the gallery, lies, hypocrisies.....
It is well indeed....," Monalisa Chinda lamented.

"If slavery was abolished in 1865, what the hell is Libya doing to her fellow Africans?", Basketmouth said.
"I'd like to be able to do more than just post on social media, and I'm sure many others would too. The issue is finding a verifiable charity cause that specifically addresses this issue, so we can donate money to help out. Please, if anyone knows a credible charity focused on this, can you put it in the comments section? I will update this post once we find a good one, so that we can all chip in to helping bring this insanity to an end. This should not still be happening in 2017 Africa. We are better than this. Or at least we should be. #saynotoslaveryinlibya #africa#slavery#libya," Banky W said.
"This is devastating we must stand up and speak out for our brothers and sisters in #Libya..... #StopSlaveInLibya," Eniola Badmus said.
"MY HEART BLEEDS・・・ I struggled with how to speak on the slave trade in Libya. This is how i lend my voice!," Tonto Dikeh said.
