Massachusetts police officer shot 10 times with his own gun
 A Massachusetts police officer was killed over the weekend after being shot 10 times with his own gun by a man after he struck the officer with a rock.
20-year-old Emanuel Lopes has been charged with the killing
of officer Michael Chesna and another woman in the horrific attack on Sunday.

According to a Police report,  Lopes was throwing rocks at a home when he was confronted by Weymouth Officer Michael Chesna. That’s when Lopes hit Chesna in the head with a rock. Chesna fell to the ground, and Lopes took the officer’s gun and repeatedly shot him.

Investigators said Chesna was shot approximately five times in the head and five times in the torso and legs.
When another officer who had arrived at the scene shot Lopes in the leg. Lopes then ran off and fired shots into a nearby home, intentionally killing 77-year-old Vera Adams, police said.

The 20-year-old was later arrested and brought to South Shore Hospital where he’s currently being held under police custody.
Weymouth Police Chief Richard Grimes told reporters on Sunday that Chesna was going to celebrate his sixth year with the department on Monday.
"He was one of those people that truly sought this job," Grimes told reporters Sunday. "He was fortunate enough to get it and very much appreciated it."
According to Police record, Lopes has a history with Weymouth Police for past crimes will now be arraigned Tuesday afternoon on the murder charges in Quincy District Court,
