After a largely successful World Cup campaign (This Is Naija Where Football Lives) and other Football campaigns such as MTN Football
Scholar, MTN Street Soccer, as well as partnership with English Premier League bigwigs, Arsenal FC. MTN continues its support of Football in Nigeria and Africa
Fashioned after the Red Bull Street Style Championship, (the World Cup of freestyle Football) the maiden edition of the African Freestyle Football Championship kicked off in Lagos at the Balmoral Convention Centre.
The competition saw Nigerian and African freestylers battle it out for national and continental glory and it was a scintillating encounter as there were swashbuckling display of Football juggling skills from both male and female participants. It could even be argued that the ladies’ championship was more intense than that of the guys. The athletes were judged by some of the very best from the Red Bull championship who were largely impressed by what they saw.
