Apo Six: Will justice be served today?

Remember the infamous Apo Six case which gripped the nation in 2005? Six young Nigerians brutally cut down in their prime by those entrusted with protecting them. LIB reported on the long road to justice some time ago.  

Today, October 11 was fixed for the adoption of final written addresses by Justice Ishaq Bello of the FCT High Court. A verdict is unlikely but it could be an important juncture in the struggle for justice.

The charges of extra judicial killings are against Danjuma Ibrahim, Othman Abdulsalami , Nicholas Zakaria, Ezekiel Acheneje, Baba Emmanuel and Sadiq Salami for their part in the murder of Ifeanyi Ozor, Chinedu Meniru, Isaac Ekene, Paulinus Ogbonna, Anthony Nwodike and Augustina Arebun.
