WINNING WAYS SERIES #3: I believe most people failed in life simply because they major in minor things

Today, I want to speak to you about that aspect of life that has stagnated a very large number of people, that aspect i call 'ATTITUDE'. 

What is attitude? 

To a lame man understanding, it is that behavioural style and pattern of an individual aspect of living, also one's disposition constantly with relation to work, people and environment.

Having said that, I can boldly say to you that hundred percent  of what we are and who we are and what we will become are built upon and by the display of our attitude. With the right attitude, we yield the right result and the bad attitude breed bad result. A lot of
individuals today wish they could undo so lot of things done in the past for that has shaped whom they have become.

 Attitude is like a foundation, if you build on solid material you stand to rip the dividend of a strong foundation of success but if you do the opposite you don't need to be told the outcome. 

You want things but you don't get them it could be attributed to your attitude. Like the old saying goes "First impression matters". When you have the right attitude you stand the very big chance of attracting the right people for business and investment  but on the contrary when your impression at first cast doubt to people you come in contact as a result of your ego,rudeness,irresponsible behaviour,irregularities etc you stand that same chance of loosing favors,opportunities and offer from people.

What is your attitude to work? Are you serious with work, do you work with passion, how early do you go to work? What is your personal work ethics, how do you treat fellow staff and customers, what impression do people reckon you with? 

Are you passion driven for excellence, what is your day to day approach to issues of life, can you be trusted with public funds? How honest and discipline can one verge for you? Are you committed to success? 

These are the very questions you and only you can answer to yourself. 

Maybe you are the extravagant type that spend on frivolities, you party all weekend at different clubs or the type that believe in doing things anyhow,you don't have clear cut goals or objectives. 

You become insolent and rude to people maybe because you think and believe you have material possession more than them therefore no one dares talk to you or correct you. Your ego is second to none and you believe you know it all, believe you me a day and time will come you will understand but in the hard way that certain actions of yours were never the best for your life.

A lot of people are going through challenges today as a result of their past attitude to life equally i want to state it that whatever challenges you have in your life currently could have been avoided by some better decisions earlier but you were blinded with bad attitude towards life and today regrets have taken place. 

" A man is not old until regret takes the place of dream in their life". 

As you read this today, what will be your approach to change that attitude that stink so badly?. Life is sweet and beautiful when we act and treat people with the right attitude. Life isn't about our consumption but more of our contribution to humanity.

 The last three wishes  of Alexander the great on his death bed, Alexander summoned his army generals and told them his three ultimate wishes:

• 1.The best doctor should carry his coffin
•  2.The wealth he has accumulated(money, gold,precious stones) should be scattered along the procession to the cemetary
•  3. His hand should be let loose so they hang outside the coffin for all to see. 

One of his generals who was surprised by these unusual requests asked Alexander to explain. Here is what Alexander the great had to say.

• 1. I want the best doctor to carry my coffin to demonstrate that in the face of death even the best doctors in the world have no power to heal.
• 2.I want the road to be cover with my treasure so that everybody sees that material wealth acquire on earth will stay on earth.
•  3.I want my hands to swing in the wind so that people understand that we came to this world empty handed and will leave this world empty handed. We do not take to our grave any material wealth acquired on earth. Our legacy and attitude are the most precious treasure that can stand the test of time even after we have left this world.

If we want to direct our lives we must take control of our consistent actions. It's not what we do once in a while that shape our lives but what we do consistently.
