Soldiers build their own 'Optimus Prime' using only spare parts(photos)

Inspired by the incredibly popular Transformers film franchise, a group of soldiers from the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) created their own version of the courageous and selfless hero character Optimus Prime.

Taking just a month to build, the project was initiated to stimulate the soldiers' interest in car maintenance during their training. This Optimus Prime was built entirely from spare parts.
