Gambian president, Yahya Jammeh, has followed in the footstep of former President Goodluck Jonathan, by calling the winner of the December 1st Gambian presidential election, Adama Narrow (pictured right) on phone, to concede defeat and congratulate him for winning the election.
Recall Jonathan made history in African politics back in 2015 by becoming the first sitting African president to call his successor on phone to concede defeat. Gambian president, Yahya has been in power for 22 years, since 1994. He will handover to Adama in January 2017.
