The office of Nigeria's senate deputy chief whip, Senator Francis Alimikhena, was gutted by fire this morning.
The fire destroyed electrical appliances in the office of the

senator representing Edo North senatorial district, before it was put off, The Nation reports.

The deputy chief whip's job include; assisting the chief whip on the floor, counting votes and ensuring attendance of members.
