Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike (CON) of Rivers State has won The Sun’s Governor of the Year award.
The presentation of the award was done by Chairman of the Sun Newspapers, Orji Uzor Kalu. Ike Ekweremadu, Terry Wayas and MD of Sun newspaper, Eric Osagie joined in the presentation where the governor's leadership style in Rivers state was highly spoken of.
There is a report that a state governor allegedly paid for 150 rooms at an expensive Lagos hotel, so guests can watch him collect an award from a Nigerian newspaper. Nigerians are now pointing fingers at Wike.
Governor Wike nor his media aide has made any comment on this accusation which has now become a trending topic.
