Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farooq, yesterday, endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term in office, just as he prayed for the quick recovery of the President.
The Emir, who spoke in Hausa, said: “We pray for our President’s quick recovery, good and sound health to continue with his work. To complete the two years and the four years to come.”
He spoke while receiving a team, led by the Federal Commissioner of National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, Hajia Sadiya Umar Farouq, which was in the state to distribute relief materials to IDPs.
Speaking while receiving the team, Governor Bello Masari called on the commission to go beyond distribution of relief materials to resettlement of the IDPs, and providing them with means of livelihood.
