High School Student, 17, denied access to school on his graduation day (photo)

A 17-year-old student of Wade Hampton High School in Greenville, Georgia had an embarrassing encounter as he was locked out of his own graduation by a local police officer.

According to reports, the school claims that the young man pictured in his graduation gown arrived late and was denied access to the school premises. 

However, it was also reported that his lateness was caused by his mother's car which broke on their way to the school.

It's unclear if the boy was later granted access to the school to graduate with other outgoing students.
