Lagos Police command announce N1m reward for anyone that can identify masked lady in viral video
The Lagos state police command has announced the reward of N1 million for anyone that can unravel the identity of the masked lady in a viral video.


A lady wearing a mask shared a video online last week in which she accused a police officer, Inspector Christopher Marcel Nabugwu, of living above his means. She alleged that the officer who a music enthusiast, owns a property worth over two hundred and fifty million  (N250million) at No. 27  Remi Fani-Kayode Street GRA, Ikeja, uses exotic cars with customised vehicle  licence plate titled  "MCON" and worth over N2billion in cash and assets.

The police command has since carried out investigation into the lady's claims and discovered they were all false. The command tracked the accounts owned by the said officer via his BVN and discovered he had barely N50, 000 and that he lives in a room and parlor apartment which contradicts the lady's claims.

The command in a statement released by its spokesperson, CSP Chike Oti, said a reward of N1 million awaits anyone that can unravel the identity of the mystery lady. Read the statement from the command below
The Lagos State Police Command is offering one million Naira reward to anybody with useful information that will lead to the arrest of the hooded lady who  alleged Police Inspector Christopher Marcel Nabugwu of living in opulence. 
Recall that the masked woman had in a video that went viral on the social media alleged that the police inspector owns a property worth over two hundred and fifty million  (N250million) at No. 27  Remi Fani-Kayode Street GRA, Ikeja, uses exotic cars with customised vehicle  licence plate titled  "MCON" and worth over N2billion in cash and assets.
These allegations caught the attention of the Inspector General of Police who ordered an investigation into the allegation the source not withstanding. 
Investigation into the matter was painstakingly carried out. At the end of the probe, it was clear that the allegations were not only false and misleading but a calculated attempt to malign the good name of a hardworking police officer and  embarrass the police authorities.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos state, CP Edgal Imohimi  said the police  is counting on the already established  goodwill of Lagosians and indeed that of good Nigerians in getting credible information that would lead to the arrest of the masked woman.
The CP added that the arrest and prosecution of the masked woman will serve as a deterrent to others who uses  social media platforms to maliciously destroy the good image of innocent Nigerians.

PRESS RELEASE VIRAL VIDEO: POLICE DEBUNK MASKED LADY’S ALLEGATION OF OPULENCE AGAINST INSPECTOR The Lagos State Police Command has debunked allegation raised by the masked lady in the video accusing a police inspector, Marcel Nnabugwu of living in opulence and above his means. The lady in the said video which has since gone viral on the internet, had alleged that Nnabugwu owns a property at No. 27, Remi Fani-Kayode Street, GRA, Ikeja worth N250million, as well as exotic car with a customized license plate number titled “MCON”. The lady had further alleged in the video that the moment the officer in question enters into any night club, the club shuts down to all customers to attend to his needs. She had also estimated the officer to worth over N2billion, claiming that he spent millions of Naira during his 30th Birthday party recently, and thereafter requested the police authorities to investigate the source of wealth of the officer whom she further alleged to be serving in Mopol 18 Owerri. The attention of the police high command was therefore drawn to the video clip making the rounds on the internet in which a lady hooded to mask her identity, made serious allegations against a police sergeant and as a responsible and accountable institution, the Inspector General of Police ordered investigation, following which the Command swung into action, and the outcome revealed that there was no iota of truth in the claims by the masked lady. Investigation conducted by the police to check the veracity of the allegations revealed that there indeed exist one Christopher Marcel Nnabugwu, alias MCON in the police, and that the said officer was enlisted into the Police Force in the year 2000 and was trained at the Police College Oji River, Enugu State. Further investigation revealed that the said Nnabugwu is presently an Inspector of Police serving at Ogudu Police Division where he is attached to Divisional Crime Branch (DCB) and not a police sergeant serving at Mopol 18 Read more on www.lindaikejisblog.com
