Forbes Released its 2018 Celebrity 100 List Of The World's Highest-Paid Entertainers on Monday, and Floyd Mayweather emerged as the world’s highest-paid entertainer on the list with actor George Clooney taking on the No. 2 spot
Forbes gathered its 2018 list by approximating pre-tax earnings from June 2017-June 2018, before deducting fees for managers, based on data from Nielsen, touring trade publication Pollstar, movie database IMDB, and interviews with industry professionals and celebrities themselves.
Mayweather earned about $285 million during that time, while Oscar-winning star Clooney pulled an estimated $239 million after selling the Casamigos tequila company which according to Forbes gave Clooney the best annual earnings of his 35-year career in film and television.
Zack O’Malley Greenburg, a senior entertainment editor at Forbes, said in a statement that the entertainers on its 2018 Celebrity 100 list made a combined $6.3 billion before tax.
