Former NFL Player Brandon Browner Reportedly Attempted To Murder His EX

Two-time Super Bowl champion, Brandon Browner has allegedly been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly unsuccessfully tried to kill his former girlfriend.

The former NFL player reportedly broke into his former girlfriend's apartment on Sunday. He allegedly “chased the victim, dragged her and then smothered her in a carpet," in the presence of her two children. And before escaping, he stole a Rolex but he was later arrested.

He has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of cruelty to a child, one count of attempted murder, first-degree residential robbery, first-degree burglary, person present, and false imprisonment, according to TMZ Sports. And if convicted as charged, he is likely to face maximum life sentence in the state prison.His bail has been set at $10 million.


Browner, 33, was a member of the Seattle Seahawks for three seasons, where he won one Super Bowl with the Seahawks and one with the Patriots. He was also a key member of the Legion of Boom defense.
