Online Wisdom, a Cyber Security Awareness and Education Initiative launches in Lagos

Great Life Technologies (GLTECH) launched its OnlineWisdom suite of programs last Saturday with a is portfolio of exciting and interesting market offerings. The OnlineWisdom brand

comprises solutions and contents aimed at promoting Information and Cyber Security, Internet Risks Awareness, and Online Safety, as well as the development of Electronic Business Solutions. Through the OnlineWisdom program, GLTECH has a vision to bring Cyber Security Education to everyone, help organizations secure their systems and promote Online Safety, among other initiatives. A notable ongoing project is under this program is the OnlineWisdom School Club initiative, OW School Club, that seeks to ensure that young internet users have safe, constructive, as well as educational and entertaining online experience.

In attendance at this launch were several TV, radio and newspaper journalists, as well as representatives of selected schools. The program was anchored by the Brand Manager of GLTECH, Bayo Ademuyiwa supported by the Head, Programs and Coordinator of the OnlineWisdom School Club, Confidence Osein; the Head of I.T – Samuel Salami; the Managing Director, Martin Obiora and a leading Cyber Security professional and member, board of trustees, Sam Okenye. The global rise in Cyber threats and crime leading to a heightened increase in the number of organisations being breached as well as individual personal details that have been compromised, as highlighted by Sam Okenye in his Keynote address, is one among many drivers for this program.

In rising up to meet this global challenge, the Managing Director of GLTECH, Martin Obiora, unveiled a number of impressive solutions in his presentation to the public, to help combat the societal menace of Cyber-crime and ensure the safety of both children and adults online. Paramount among these solutions are the ongoing OnlineWisdom School Club project, OnlineWisdom Tablets for children and adults, OnlineWisdom Packs comprising books and CDs on Cyber security and online safety, an E-learning portal, training programs, and much more.
