Information made available to PoliticsNGR revealed that the woman was on her way to her shop situated at old garage (emumi emumi) when the assailants overtook her with their motorcycle and shot her point-blank. An eyewitness, Bimbola Ibrahim, wrote on his Social media page;
An aged poor woman has been shot dead by assailants who were on a bike. The deceased was allegedly going for her daily job at old garage (emumi emumi ).
The incident happened 45 minutes ago. The security men are on ground but the dead body has not been evacuated yet. We call on the CP to do the needful. The perpetrator must be brought to book.
